BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN)........Want more proof that the upper end segment of the region's residential real estate industry is white hot?
Consider this:
Two years ago, a four-bedroom house at 15 St. Andrew's Walk in the Elmwood Village area sold for $940,000.
Now, fast forward to this year and the house just for $1.184 million - a 26% increase in just 24 months.
And, the house was on the market for less than two weeks.
The deal marks the 75th private residence, this year in Erie County, to sell for more than $1 million.
Erie County is pacing for 109 homes to be sold for more than $1 million this, which would surpass last year's benchmark of 105 homes going for north of $1 million.
Since 2024, more than 300 homes in Erie County have sold for $1 million - a reflection of how the upper-end market continues to gain traction with home buyers.
The sale of homes going for more than $1 million is considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
