CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN)......The sale of homes going for north of the $1 million benchmark continues as Erie County has notched its 37th private residence, this year, to sell for above the million dollar threshold.
In the latest deal, a four-bedroom house at 6555 Ashford Court in Clarence sold for $1.25 million. The 3,850-square-foot house was constructed in 1999.
The deal is the 12th house in Clarence, this year, to sell for more than $1 million. Last year, Clarence had 30 homes sell for north of $1 million.
This year, Erie County is pacing with a house selling for more than $1 million once every four days. The county is on pace to see 85 homes sell for above the $1 million threshold.
Last year, Erie County recorded a record 105 homes that sold for north of $1 million.
The sale of $1 million-plus homes is considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
