BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - An Erie County Sheriff's Deputy is believed to have died by suicide.
The sheriff's office said Wednesday the incident happened at Sheriff's lockup at Buffalo City Court. Their office is currently in the process of notifying to family members. Grief counselors will be speaking with personnel.
The officer's name was not released.
