(WBEN Buffalo, NY) Amherst Police report a fatal car accident very early yesterday morning when a vehicle left the 200 block of Lawrence Bell Drive and struck a tree.
The 39-year old driver from Rochester was pronounced dead at the scene.

Amherst, NY - On Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at approximately 12:35 AM, a 2019 Chevrolet was traveling westbound in the 200 block of Lawrence Bell Drive. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The Chevrolet was being operated by a 39 year old male from Rochester, New York. The male suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identification of those involved are being withheld pending proper notifications to family.
The Main Transit Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance assisted at the crash scene. The crash is currently under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
Investigators will be canvassing for video and witnesses and are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or
