Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A sticky mess greeted drivers on the I-90 Westbound on Wednesday morning after a tractor trailer spilled part of its cargo. The truck was carrying flour.
As the flour hit the wet roadway, it became a slippery paste.
It happened near the interchange for the Route 400 Expressway shortly after 7 a.m. ET.
"The Thruway Authority has a number of maintenance trucks cleaning it up," said WBEN Traffic reporter Allan Harris. "They actually brought a plow and a street sweeper to clean up the road."
Drivers had to reduce their speed in the area as they passed on through.
Traffic was restricted, and the ramp to the 400 was stopped during the clean up.
