Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Police Department announced the arrest of four people on Monday in connection with a gang assault and kidnapping that happened last week.
Last Wednesday, officers were asked to locate a person by their relative.
The family member believed their relative was in an apartment on the 500 block of Virginia Street.
Police located the person and brought them to the Northeast District station.
Once at the station, the found person disclosed that they had been beaten, tied to a chair, and held against their will by known assailants.
An investigation was immediately opened, as the 21-year-old victim alleged that their head had been shaved, bleach and boiling water had been poured on their body, and they had been struck by a belt several times.
They also told police their phones, backpack, and wallet had been taken. The victim suffered from burns, welts, lacerations, and bruising.
The victim ended up being transported to Erie County Medical Center for further evaluation.
