Lockport, NY (WBEN) Richard Fox was sentenced Wednesday for killing a woman in Niagara County. It is the third murder for which he will be imprisioned.
Fox was sentenced to 25 years to life after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death of 32-year-old Crystal Curthoys, formerly of Lockport, in January 2023 in Niagara Falls. Investigators say he later had access to her home as a handyman.
Curthoys died in 2023, but her body wasn't found until last year, hidden under the basement stairs at Fox's former Niagara Falls home.
Fox is already serving up to life in prison after he admitted to killing two women, Cassandra Watson and Marquita Mull, whose bodies were discovered nearly two decades apart.
Fox has also confessed to killing his grandmother, but statute of limitations prevented him from criminal charges in that case.
