Getzville, N.Y. (WBEN) - A fire at a home in Getzville early Tuesday morning caused an estimated $300,000 in damages, according to a statement from Amherst Fire Control.
A call was placed to Amherst Fire Control from 4023 Millersport Highway at 4:47 a.m. ET Thursday, where the resident reported that their kitchen was on fire.
Firefighters from Getzville 9 arrived to the scene. They say the structure itself became involved in the fire shortly after their arrival.
An estimated $200,000 was done to the structure of the home and $100,000 to its contents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
