Gowanda, NY (WBEN) Gowanda Central School is pivoting to remote learning until Thanksgiving break. The district says there is a staffing shortage prompting the pivot.
The pivot begins Wednesday going through next Tuesday, when Thanksgiving break begins. The district plans to return to in-person learning Monday, November 29th.
"During this time, out of district programs such as BOCES-CTE, Alternative Education, P-TECH, Pre-Kindergarten, and Special Education will continue as scheduled. In addition, school activities, such as parent-teacher conferences and concerts, and athletics will also continue as scheduled. ALL staff are directed to report to assigned buildings," says Superintendent Robert Anderson in a letter to parents.
