Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo firefighters dealt with a hazmat situation Tuesday morning at Buffalo General Hospital. Firefighters say a corrosive product accidentally overfilled in a boiler room.
Buffalo Fire Captain Jerry Johnson says this happened just before 9 a.m. ET.
"There was a corrosive product that accidentally overfilled. They've dripped down into the bay area there, which caused an issue," said Johnson.
Johnson says everything was contained to the room that it's filled in.
"Our Special Operations hazmat team did an excellent job with confining it, neutralizing it, and keeping it in place," he said.
There were no injuries or evacuations reported.
