Hamburg, NY (WBEN) Nathaniel S. Rivera, 35, of Lake View, was arraigned this morning before Hamburg Town Court Justice Carl W. Morgan on charges of burglary and grand larceny.

Hamburg Police say on March 7th, Rivera broke into a building on Lakeview Road and stole more than a thousand dollars worth of tools, belonging to the town's highway and buildings and grounds department.

Rivera is scheduled to return on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was released on his own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses for bail.

If convicted of the highest charge, Rivera faces a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison.
