Buffalo, NY (WBEN) New York's Republican chairman has filed a Freedom of Information request seeking all communications from Governor Hochul's office on the issue of bail reform.
Langworthy says he's doing this on behalf of the state's 20 million residents. "She's been dodging the press. She's been talking out of both sides of her mouth. And that's only what we know. Can you imagine the double dealing that's going on behind closed doors," says Langworthy. He says he wants to expose Hochul because this is a life or death matter.
"When she's playing Kathy from Buffalo, she cares about the cops. She cares about law and order. But then when she's Kathy from Brooklyn, she's hanging out with (Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez} in a state run drug den, handing out checks to criminals," adds Langworthy. He says public safety is on the ballot this November, and the people have a right to know who their governor is talking to, in what she is saying about bail reform.
All forms of communication, including emails, texts, and phone records have been requested from January 1, 2022, through March 23, 2022.
