Lockport High School evacuated after written threat was found

The school was evacuated out of an abundance of caution

Lockport, N.Y. (WBEN) - Officials at Lockport High School evacuated the school Friday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m. after finding a written threat in one of the classrooms.

Lockport City Schools Superintendent Dr. Mathis Calvin III said Lockport Police responded to the school, completed a search of the school and found no credibility to the threat.

Students and staff were taken to the Kenan Center to be picked up.
