Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man that is currently facing sentencing in three separate carjackings has been charged in a fourth, this one involving an off-duty Niagara Falls police officer.

The incident happened back on Jan. 9 at around 6 p.m. The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 19-year-old Dorian Jones allegedly pulled a gun on the off-duty officer on Cheltenham Drive in Buffalo before stealing his vehicle. Two children were in the vehicle when it happened.

The District Attorney's office says the officer fired several shots at the suspect before Jones drove away with one of the children still in the car.

Police found Jones nearby on Delaware Avenue. The child was found safe and unharmed.

Jones has been charged with two counts of second degree robbery, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held without bail.

He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted.
