Allen, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 65-year-old man from Englewood, Fla. has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder after shooting his two brothers in a hunting cabin in Allegany County on Sunday, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded to the cabin on Botsford Hollow Road in Allen around 10:06 p.m. Sunday, where they found the two men dead.
State police say a physical altercation broke out in the cabin before Scot Thompson shot 70-year-old Mark of Canterbury, Conn. and 69-year-old David of Port Charlotte, Fla. with a rifle. Scot Thompson is said to have fled the scene in David's vehicle.
Thompson was tracked down by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office and Geneseo Police Department. He was arrested without incident, and is set to be arraigned at Allegany County Jail.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
