Morning crash in Amherst sends two to ECMC

Amherst Police have reopened Kensington Avenue after a serious crash this morning. Two people were taken to ECMC with serious injuries.

Amherst, NY (WBEN) Amherst Police say two people are at ECMC with life threatening injuries after their car struck a utility pole just before 6 this morning on Kensington Avenue.

Police say a 37 year old Cheektowaga man was driving when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit the pole and a tree. He and his 40 year old female passenger have serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown.

All roadways have been reopened.
