Freedom, N.Y. (WBEN) - New York State Police have charged a man in connection with a head-on collision back in June that killed his sister and two other people.

21-year-old Evan Klink was arrested on Thursday and has been charged with the following:

- Three counts of Murder in the Second Degree
- One count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide
- One county of Vehicular Manslaughter in the First Degree
- One count of Vehicular Assault in the First Degree
- Reckless Driving
- Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs
- Other vehicle traffic tickets

The New York State Police and the Cattaraugus District Attorney’s Office worked in collaboration with this investigation, effectively making the indictment and arrest on the charges of Klink.

It was June 17, 2023 when troopers say a truck driven by Klink swerved into the oncoming lane, striking a car on Freedom Road in the Town of Freedom driven by his sister, Dahlia Klink.

The crash claimed the lives of two of Dahlia's passengers at the scene: 17-year-old Havanah Lopez and 8-year-old Molly Kibler. Dahila Klink later died at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.

Evan Klink and two others were injured in the accident.
