Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Voices that have shaped Buffalo radio for 50 years were inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame Wednesday night at Samuel’s Grande Manor in Clarence.

Inductees into the Class of 2025 include Hank Nevins, Todd Broady and Kevin Keenan.

In his five decades alone in Buffalo Radio, Nevins has worked at WGR, WKBW, WBEN and WLVL.

He recently told us about how he ended up hosting the Saturday morning show on WBEN.

"Jim Majors had just left, and I said to then-Operations Manager Tim Wenger, if you need someone to fill in while you're looking, I'd be happy to do it. Tim said he'd appreciate it. Before I knew it, I was running into people who said they heard me on WBEN. It was a bigger response than I had gotten anywhere else I worked. Tim checked in again a few weeks later and said can you hang in there?" Nevins chuckled, "That was almost 20 years ago."

Todd Broady has shaped the sound of Buffalo Radio for over 30 years as Director of Production at Audacy. He also produces Buffalo Bills broadcasts for the Bills Radio Network.

Kevin Keenan spent many years at WBEN in the 1980s and '90s. He served as News Director, Program Director and co-hosted WBEN’s Morning Show with Bill Lacy.

Keenan is now CEO of Keenan Communications Group.

This month, WBEN is celebrating 95 years as the "Voice of Buffalo." WBEN signed on the air Monday, Sept. 8, 1930 from the studios located at the Statler Hotel downtown.
