HAMBURG, N.Y. (WBEN)....A large swath of land that sitsin the shadow SUNY Erie and new Highmark Stadium will soon be the site of a 66-house subdivision.
The project is one of the first private sector-backed developments near the new stadium site.
Developer Dave Manko, through his Parker Road Developments LLC paid $1.744 million for the 35-acre site ay 4825 Big Tree Road. Manko had the property under contract for the past year.
Construction will start this summer and the first units should be move-in ready by next summer.
Located at the corner of Parker Road and Big Tree Road, the property sits almost directly across from the SUNY Erie campus and is a 10-minute walk to the new stadium.
In another commercial deal:
* Investors 15 Limestone Group LLC paid $5.375 million for a building at 15 Limestoen Drive in Amherst that houses Somerset Labs and Kedplasma.
Both tenants will remain in the building that had been owned by 15 Limestone Drive Associates LLC.
