Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Catholic Health's Sisters of Charity Hospital delivered the first baby of the new year in Erie County at 12:08 a.m. EST on Saturday. The proud parents of Celia Rose are Joe and Amanda Christopher.

Kaleida Health's first baby of 2022 was born at Oishei Children's Hospital.
Emerald Thrist and Kenion Jones of Buffalo, welcomed daughter Promise Jones at 12:21 a.m. EST. At five pounds and 18 inches, Promise was born at just over 34 weeks and is currently being cared for by the team of doctors and nurses in the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Oishei Children's Hospital. Promise will soon go home to join her four brothers and sisters.
