Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Niagara Falls man was arraigned this past Thursday in Cheektowaga Town Court after a hit-and-run incident near the Buffalo Niagara International Airport back in late February.

50-year-old Travis Rosario is facing one count of Leaving the Scene of Incident Resulting in Serious Injury (Class "E" felony) after allegedly hitting a pedestrian on Luiz Kahl Way as that individual was crossing the road near Genesee Street at approximately 4:56 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Rosario is accused of leaving the scene without reporting the incident to police.

The victim, a 44-year-old male from Williamsville, was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center with physical injuries, including a head injury and numerous fractured bones, the required surgery.

Rosario is scheduled to return on Friday, June 7 at 9 a.m. ET for further proceedings. He was released on his own recognizance as the charge is a non-qualifying offense for bail.

If convicted of the charge, Rosario faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.
