NFTA investigating hit-and-run incident at airport early Tuesday morning

Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - NFTA Transit Police is investigating a hit-and-run accident that involved a pedestrian on airport property just before 5 a.m. EST on Tuesday.

At approximately 4:55 a.m. EST, a 44-year-old male resident of Williamsville was struck while on Luiz F. Kahl Way, which is the airport access road located across from the McDonald's restaurant on Genesee Street.


The NFTA Police Department is asking the public to come forward with any information that may assist them in locating the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run accident. It is described as a black Nissan Pathfinder of a newer model (2022-2024). It has sustained moderate front-end damage, and is missing the Nissan emblem from its front grill.
