A memorable Opening Day for the Buffalo Bisons. Friday's game against Scranton Wilkes Barre marks the earliest opening in Bisons franchise history and it is being met with unseasonably cold air.

For fans who turn out in the 30 degree weather, they will be rewarded with a ticket to a future game, thanks to the Bisons '50 degree guarantee.'

"Best day of the year, Opening Day!" said Bisons General Manager Anthony Sprague.

"If it doesn't get up to 50 by first pitch, you'll get a free ticket to another game later on," he said.

The Bisons have an extensive promotional schedule for the upcoming season.

Fan favorites are back including:

Star Wars Night: Saturday, June 13.

Harry Potter Night: Saturday, August 22.

K-Pop Night: Saturday, August 8.

New this year is Cosmic Baseball: July 3 and July 4.

Sprague said Cosmic Baseball is similar to when the Savannah Bananas came a couple of years ago.

"Instead of playing under regular lights, they turn the lights out and put black lights up and play withglow in the dark baseballs, uniforms

and confetti." He said it's going to be one of the best events of the entire summer.

Note: July 3 Cosmic Baseball is currently sold out, but a ticket lottery is available for July 4.
