BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) – Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Friday that beginning nursing home visitation will resume statewide.

Rapid tests will be required in order to visit a nursing home resident. Governor Cuomo said the state health department will provide the rapid tests for free.
"Rapid tests is very quick," Cuomo said. "It's not intrusive."
Specific guidelines on nursing home visitation will be released by the state health department and follow CDC guidance.
All nursing home residents and staff have been offered the COVID-19 vaccine, the governor said. 73% of nursing home residents have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
