Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - President Joe Biden wrote a letter to the City of Buffalo on Tuesday, saying he continues to grieve for the victims of the Tops mass shooting two years ago on May 14, 2022.

In the letter, President Biden touted his administration's efforts to address gun violence, including the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

"I know we have a lot more work to do, but I'm optimistic that we can prevent future senseless acts of gun violence like the one that struck at the soul of your community," writes the President.

"May God bless the precious lives we lost and those who were wounded. May God bless the families and the first responders. And may God bless each and every one of you."
