(WBEN) - Promotion of the book written by Governor Andrew Cuomo about leadership during the Covid pandemic has been stopped.

The New York Times reports that Crown Publishing Group is stopping promotion of Cuomo's book "American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic." The Times report cited “the ongoing investigation into N.Y.S. reporting of Covid-related fatalities in nursing homes" as the publisher's main reason for halting promotion.

Crown Publishing also apparently has no more plans to produce any more copies of the book, or reissue the book in paperback. Sales of the book have slowed down drastically since the state’s nursing home scandal started making headlines.

On Monday, State Attorney General Letitia James named two downstate lawyers who will be in charge of investigating the sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo. A federal inquiry in to the Cuomo administration's handling of nursing home data is also underway.
