"I do not expect a vote tonight and any board member who does not vote to postpone this until November is acting in an unethical way."

Buffalo teacher Marc Bruno from Riverside High School is among those pushing for the school board to push back a vote on school closures.

Bruno told WBEN Wednesday morning the way the district has been handling the closures is concerning. He added that it's been difficult to keep up with the constant changes to the plan.

As for Riverside High School, the building is not on the closure list.

"Our 300 students are being evicted from the school and thrown away like trash, in order to bring in 400 kids from Da Vinci," he said.

Bruno calls it educational segregation.

"The message the district is sending is that you're separating people. One group is more important than the other. We're evicting students from East High School We're evicting students from Riverside and replacing them with, better, more important students. I think that's a horrible message to send."

The 24 year Buffalo teacher thinks a couple of good principals and a couple of good teachers, who actually work in buildings, could come up with a plan that would make a lot more sense, rather than what he calls the chaos that is currently occurring.

The Buffalo school board is meeting at 5:30pm Wednesday at McKinley High School.
