Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Congressman Tom Reed expressed his disapproval with state lawmakers' proposed redistricting of congressional districts in New York. He calls it hypocritical.
Reed says he's disappointed in what he calls the "hypocrisy of the one party control of the Democratic party in Albany is using gerrymandering" with the goal of protecting Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker.
Reed says voters should be aware of what Democrats are doing. "The voters will hold them accountable because the voters made them aware they wanted an independent redistricting commission. The legislature turned their backs on the voters," contends Reed.

Reed does note his current district may stay Republican. "Our area will be represented by a Republican. You have Chris Jacobs and Claudia Tenney, who has thrown her hat into the ring. The districts themselves will be heavily Republican and will be safe according to pundits," says Reed.
The legislature unveiled its proposal over the weekend.
