Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Nearly 3,000 employees at Kenmore Mercy, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and Sisters of Charity Hospital remain in negotiations with Catholic Health for a new contract. Communications Workers of America, which represents the employees, has called for a strike authorization vote to be held September 8th.

Kids Escaping Drugs will host its 5th annual Rise for Recovery Walk Saturday, September 13th at Canalside. The 1.8 mile walk begins at 10:15 that morning and registration is free. The walk is honoring the lives of those lost to drug overdoses and raising awareness for substance misuse and addiction.

Breweries from across Western New York are coming together in Buffalo at Resurgence later today to make a unique Hazy IPA. The collaboration will be revealed during Western New York Craft Beer Week September 25th through October 5th.
