Clarence, NY (WBEN) State Police make an arrest in a self checkout scam.
Troopers say 27 year old Sarah Davidson and 40 year old Cailee Duane swapped various price tags at the Wal Mart on Transit in Clarence and scanned those items through self checkout. The total stolen merchandise was valued at $162.94.
Both were arrested and processed at SP Clarence. Davidson was released with appearance ticket to appear in Clarence Town Court. Duane has an active bench warrant out of the Town of Cheektowaga. Duane was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Clarence Town Court in September 2026. Town of Cheektowaga PD responded to SP Clarence and took custody of Duane.
