BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Sabres plan to welcome fans back to KeyBank Center on March 20, the team announced Thursday after sources told WGR's Mike Schopp about initial plans.
"The Sabres would like to thank the New York State and Erie County Departments of Health and KeyBank Center staff for their efforts to ensure our fans return to a safe and healthy environment," the team said in a statement.
Attendance at Sabres games will be limited to 10% capacity. Season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to select seats. Fans attending the game must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the game.
More information about tickets will be released in the coming days.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on February 10 that venues with capacity of 10,000 or more people were eligible to welcome back fans as early February 23. Thursday night's Sabres game against the New Jersey Devils is the first game where fans were eligible to return.
