
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Police Department has made an arrest of a suspect wanted for murder and other charges in North Carolina.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. ET this past Saturday, Northwest District officers responded to the call of a fight on the first block of Huntington Avenue. Differing 9-1-1 calls referenced an assault, a potential stabbing, and a gun.
Upon arrival on scene, officers encountered a male who was hostile and threatening towards them. The male was tazed and apprehended for obstructing the investigation.
Once in custody, it was discovered that the male had active murder, attempted murder, and robbery warrants out of Wilmington, North Carolina from earlier in the week.
Craig Lynch, 23, of Buffalo was charged with one count of Obstruction of Governmental Administration (Class "A" misdemeanor). He is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center as he awaits extradition to North Carolina.
An additional arrest was made stemming from the initial altercation. Jasmine Hernandez, 19, of Cheektowaga was charged with one count of Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation.
