Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Thousands cast their votes across Erie County on Saturday as early voting began for the upcoming November election.
A total of 4,253 ballots were cast on the first day of early voting on Saturday for the Tuesday, Nov. 4 general election, Erie County Board of Elections officials say.
Of the total county vote count, 1,003 ballots were cast by voters registered in the City of Buffalo, where a race for mayor is to be decided.
The BOE will release daily and cumulative early voting numbers through next Sunday, Nov. 2.
Early voting resumes 9 a.m.-to-5 p.m. on Sunday at 38 sites across Erie County.
Voters may use any location regardless of their address.
