Thousands cast their votes across Erie County Saturday as early voting began for the upcoming November election.
On Saturday, 4,253 ballots were cast on the first day of early voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 4 general election, Erie County Board fo Elections officials say.
Of the county total vote count, 1,003 ballots were cast by voters registered in the City of Buffalo, where a race for mayor is to be decided.
The BOE will release daily and cumulative early voting numbers through next Sunday, Nov. 2.
Early voting resumes 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 38 sites across Erie County.
Voters may use any location regardless of their address.
