(WBEN) - A few well-know local businesses across Western New York are shutting their doors.
In Buffalo's University District, The Lake Effect Diner closed for the final time last night, and The Steer will do the same today.
Owner Tucker Curtin said both restaurants are dealing with worker shortages and supply chain issues. The Steer had been open for 28 years. Lake Effect Diner for almost two decades.
In Niagara Falls, Di Camillo Bakery is closing its Pine Avenue location. In a Facebook post, the business cited worker security as a reason for shutting down.
Over the weekend, an armed robbery was reported at the business, which said there has been a constant security presence needed in the store over the past 2 years. The bakery's other locations remain open.
