Ticket prices for remaining Bills games dropping

The team's recent performances and the game falling on a Thursday night are some reasons this week's ticket prices are falling

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - As the Buffalo Bills prepare to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Thursday night at Highmark Stadium, ticket prices are coming down. One secondary ticket specialist says there are a couple of reasons for this.

Nick Giammusso from VIPTIX.com says the Bills' on-field performance is one reason.

"A couple of tough losses, you were seeing prices decrease as fans kind of become disinterested, which seems like it's a weird phenomenon compared to the beginning of the year," said Giammusso with WBEN.

Another reason is the day of the game.

"With the game being an evening game Thursday night, that kind of puts fans off a little bit, as they're getting home late and having to work in the morning," Giammusso noted.

Giammusso says prices start at about $90, where tickets have started at $200 for previous games. So when is the best time to pick up tickets?

"With electronic tickets and the ability to transfer them, it makes it easy for fans to wait, and that's what we're seeing," Giammusso said. "A lot of fans are waiting to buy the tickets for Thursday."

He notes ticket prices could go back up closer to game time.

Giammusso says other Bills home games are still garnering interest, including the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoffs for Sunday games against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.

"Dallas fans travel a lot, and everybody wants to see the Cowboys," he said. "Those prices are $250 and up for Dallas. The New York Jets game, the Nov. 19 game is $200 and up."

Kickoff on Thursday night is slated for 8:15 p.m. ET in Orchard Park.
