Trial rescheduled for Buffalo woman charged with striking cop during BLM protest

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Deyonna Davis stood in front of Judge Kenneth Case Monday morning with her legal team for what was supposed to be jury selection, but her trial was once again adjourned as Davis found new legal representation, who needs to time to prepare the case, Frank Lotempio III.

Davis has been accused of running over a police officer with an SUV during a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020.


Prosecutors said that there have been discussions of a possible plea deal, but an extension of the deal is unknown at this time.

Both parties have arranged a pre-trial conference on Jan. 5th at 10:30 a.m. for the trial date of Feb. 1st.
