UB sets vaccination deadline for students

Unvaccinated students will be barred from in-person class

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - The University at Buffalo announced Monday that students who do not get vaccinated against Covid will be forced to resign from in-person classes.

The new policy states students have seven days from when the FDA fully approves a vaccination to get the first shot.

Students are financially liable for all courses unless they have dropped or resigned by published deadlines. Students requesting a vaccine exemption will not be allowed on campus while the request is being reviewed.

School employees, meanwhile, are not required to be vaccinated but will need to be tested on a weekly basis if they are not.
