Auburn, NY (WBEN) Wegmans has recently been hit with a consent order by Cayuga County's Health Department as a result of allegations employees failed to obey the state's mask mandate at stores in that county.
Reporter Robert Harding of The Citizen says he's received numerous complaints about Wegmans allowing shoppers to go in without a mask, with customers going to staff to complain, only to be told there's nothing the store can do about it.
Harding reports during a Cayuga County Health Department meeting, the board issued a consent order against Wegmans for violating the state mask mandate. But he says a county official says that Wegmans paid the $50 but *did not* sign the order.
Harding says there hasn't been any discussions since.
