Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Less than 24 hours after hurdling on the field to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was at Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo to accept the largest single donation to the Patricia Allen Fund.
Allen said, It gives me the chills," as he accepted the check for $2,000,017 from West Herr Automotive Monday afternoon. "When I found out, I was completely speechless. I didn't know how to act and didn't know what to think or what to say."
The Patrician Allen Fund was established in 2020 after the passing of Allen's grandmother and was built on the heels of donations from Bills fans near and far and bolstered with community support, and now the largest single donation to the fund from West Herr.
It's no mistake that the donation includes $17 in honor of Allen's number and was also made on the 17th day of October.
