Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Monday will be the wettest day of the week, but storms are in the offing Tuesday and Wednesday, some of which could be severe.
"Today it'll be occasional showers around, maybe an isolated thunderstorm or two," National Weather Service meteorologist Jon Hitchcock tells WBEN. "We don't expect any severe weather [Monday], but on the rainy side. As we go through Tuesday and Wednesday, additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms."
There will be plenty of dry time Tuesday and Wednesday, but the storms those days have a chance to hit hard. Tuesday afternoon & evening and late in the day Wednesday & Wednesday night have the highest chance of severe weather. The humidity will also tick up Tuesday and Wednesday.

"The main risk would be isolated damaging wind gusts both Tuesday and Wednesday, but there could be some hail as well," Hitchcock says. "We can't rule out an isolated tornado either Tuesday or Wednesday."
Thursday may still bring an isolated shower or storm but there will again be plenty of dry time. Humidity will leave Friday as things dry out.
