The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory parts of the Southern Tier on Tuesday that include Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties.

The advisory will take effect at 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday afternoon and last through 4 a.m. EST Wednesday morning.

DESCRIPTION: Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 p.m. EST this afternoon to 4 a.m. EST Wednesday...

- WHAT: Snow mixing with and changing to freezing drizzle or sleet expected. Total snow accumulations of 1-to-3 inches and ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch.
- WHERE: Chautauqua County, Cattaraugus County, Allegany County
- WHEN: From 4 p.m. EST this afternoon to 4 a.m. EST Wednesday.
- IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

- INSTRUCTIONS: Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.
