Woman arrested in pepper spray incident at Cheektowaga restaurant

Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - Cheektowaga police have arrested Jnaya Johnson, 23, of Buffalo, in connection with a pepper spray incident at LongHorn Steakhouse on Walden Avenue last month.

Police said several people were injured, including a 3-month-old baby. According to investigators, the infant was not the intended target. Officers said the spray was directed at another adult woman.

Johnson is charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and unlawful possession of a noxious material.

She was released and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.

The incident occurred on Aug. 25.
