Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo woman is accused of spray painting a sign outside CompassCare's Amherst office. Hannah Kamke is charged with criminal mischief.

Prosecutors say Kamke spray painted a sign outside CompassCare located on Eggert Road in Amherst in March, causing an estimated $500 in damage to the property.

She was released on her own recognizance as the charge is a non-qualifying offense for bail. Prosecutors requested that the Court issue a stay away order of protection on behalf of the victim. Judge Geoffrey Klein gave a verbal warning to the defendant, ordering her to stay away from CompassCare.

If convicted of the charge, Kamke faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.

Police and the FBI are also investigating a firebombing that happened last year.
