Tonawanda, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 30-year-old woman is dead following a crash late Monday afternoon on the Twin Cities Highway in the City of Tonawanda.
According to the City of Tonawanda Police Department, officers responded to the report of a serious motor vehicle crash on Twin Cities Memorial Highway at Luksin Drive at approximately 5:15 p.m. A gray 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by the victim, was driving Northbound when it was struck from behind by a blue 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe by a 55-year-old male driver.
The woman was transported to DeGraff Memorial Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash.
The male driver was taked to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, though no charges have been filed at this time.
