And, in this case, the buyer was a member of the Buffalo Bills coaching staff.
Bills' quarterback coach Robert (Bo) Hardegree paid $1.35 million for a four-bedroom house at 69 Birdsong Parkway.
The deal marks the 12th time this year a house in Orchard Park has sold for more than $1 million.
The sale of homes going for north of $1 million is considered a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
Erie County has been pacing one $1million-plus home sale once every four days this year and is on pace to see 85 homes cross that threshold this year.
Last year, Erie County recorded 105 homes that sold for more than $1 million, according to Erie County Clerk's office data.
