Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Cheektowaga man has been senteced to 25 years to life for killing a convenience store worker and trying to kill a responding police officer.
29-year-old Travis J. Zukic pleaded guilty in August to second degree murder in the death of 23 year old Hannah Morse, and attemped murder of a Cheektowaga Police officer.
In March 2020, Zukic fatally wounded Morse as she worked inside a 7-Eleven store on French Road, then a few minutes later fired at the officer as he arrived. The officer was unhurt.
Investigators believe that the shooting at the convenience store was a random attack.
