BUFFALO (WBEN) - A one-day vaccination clinic opened at the Northwest Community Center Friday morning exclusively for residents of the 14207 zip code.
The zip code, although hit hard by the pandemic, was left off the list of 10 zip codes that were allowed to pre-register for the Delavan-Grider clinic that opened in early March.
North District Councilman Joseph Golombek was irritated that 14207 was left of the list, saying it doesn't make sense based on the numbers.
"I have a lot of poverty; I have a lot of new immigrants, people that don't speak English," said Golombek. "I have pockets of every category that qualifies for this vaccination."
Brown was asked if it was an egregious oversight that 14207 wasn't put on the list for Delavan-Grider.
"I'm not going to talk in terms of oversight," said Brown. "I'm very pleased this site is here now and that people are getting vaccinated."
