
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Trump on Wednesday afternoon returned to the Oval Office for the first time since he was diagnosed with COVID-19, White House deputy press secretary Brian Morgenstern said.
Morgenstern said Trump was being briefed on stimulus talks and Hurricane Delta, which is approaching the Gulf Coast, ans expected to make landfall late Thursday or early Friday.
Trump had been staying in the White House residence since he returned from Walter Reed Medical Center on Monday.
A Marine was posted outside the West Wing (photo, above), signifying the president was in the Oval Office.
Morgenstern said safeguards have been put in place to protect White House staff.
"So, we have ways for him to do that, we have PPE that we can use," he said. "And we can interact with him standing back .... And people can wear masks, or goggles or gloves or whatever may be needed we have the CDC guidelines."
