Fair weather through midweek, before cooler and wetter pattern returns

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Fair, dry weather is expected for the entire forecast area for this Labor Day holiday, National Weather Service forecasters say.

Temperatures today will be in the low 70's to near 80 from the higher terrain to the lower elevations respectively.


Mainly dry weather is expected through the middle of the week, other than a few scattered showers for Tuesday afternoon. Comfortable temperatures and humidity levels are also expected for much of the first half of the week.

A cold front will bring the next round of showers and thunderstorms starting on Thursday, with periods of wet weather continuing through next weekend.

Expect temperatures late in the week to tumble back to below normal for early September.
