Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - It was just enough snow across the Buffalo metro area Tuesday into Wednesday morning to make for a slower and slick morning commute across the region.
"We had some widespread snow move in overnight and about 2 to 3 inches or so fell across Western New York" National Weather Service meteorologist Heather Kenyon tells WBEN. "Really, the widespread snow has come to an end."
Only scattered and light snow is expected across the area Wednesday, with possibly a few bursts of moderate snow in spots at times.
"As far as accumulation, we're pretty much done with that," Kenyon assures us.
We can also expect it to become fairly windy today, with peak wind gusts of 35-45 mph in the typical areas downwind of Lake Erie. Elsewhere, wind guts should top out in the 25-35 mph range.
For the remainder of the work week, improvement, Kenyon tells us!
"After this system moves through today, it looks mostly dry through the end of the work week."
